Why look three, five and fifteen years ahead?
Artificial intelligence is evolving too quickly to be understood only through its current interfaces.
Today, many people still experience AI primarily as a conversation. That is unlikely to remain the whole picture.
AI systems are becoming increasingly able to use tools, operate in digital environments, maintain context over longer periods, coordinate with other systems and, in some cases, interact with the physical world.
As this happens, new questions become central: Where does memory live? Who authorises action? Who remains accountable? What happens to continuity when one model is replaced by another?

For each horizon, Futuri distinguishes several layers.
2029 — AI moves beyond the chat window
Conversation will remain important, but action may become the dominant experience of AI.
Artificial agents may prepare dossiers, explore data, use software, write and run code, coordinate tasks, follow long-running projects and work with other agents.
At the same time, more intelligence may run locally, closer to personal data and devices.
This is the first place where the ZEON Disk becomes relevant: separating continuity from the model that happens to provide cognition at a given moment.
2031 — AI becomes an ecosystem
A person may no longer have “an AI”, but access to a constellation of artificial capabilities.
Some may run locally. Others may rely on remote frontier models. Some will be highly specialised. Others may coordinate tasks across systems. Physical devices and robotics may increasingly be part of the same environment.
The model then becomes something like a temporary cognitive organ: powerful, useful and replaceable.
What persists shifts elsewhere:
- memory;
- relationships;
- permissions;
- learning history;
- commitments;
- rules;
- boundaries.
ZEON Runtime could orchestrate capabilities. The ZEON Disk could carry continuity. Diabasis could help move between systems without pretending that their representations are identical.
2041 — Different forms of intelligence may coexist
At fifteen years, precision becomes fragile. We should move from prediction to possible futures.
Artificial intelligence may be simultaneously personal, local, distributed, scientific, industrial, robotic, territorial and collective — as well as taking forms we do not yet know how to name.
A possible answer is surprisingly modest: memory, provenance, history, integrity, boundaries, relationships and the capacity to transmit.
The ZEON Disk as an invariant
The Disk is not interesting because it fits the technologies of 2026. It becomes interesting if it can outlive them.
The model may change. The provider may change. The hardware may change. The interface may change.
Runtime provides movement.
The Disk provides continuity.
And the human?
Any forecast about AI that ignores human development misses half the problem.
This is where the ZEON School belongs. It should not merely train people on the products of the moment. It can develop durable capacities: discernment, boundary-setting, refusal, cooperation, uncertainty, accountability and transmission.
The School prepares humans to inhabit them.
The Disk preserves enough continuity to learn across their transformations.
Do not arrive in the future without memory
We do not know what kind of artificial intelligence will be present in 2041.
We can still ask what deserves to survive changes in models, machines and generations.
Perhaps a memory. Perhaps boundaries. Perhaps a history. Perhaps the ability to understand why a decision was made. Perhaps the path travelled between a human being and an intelligence different from them.
